Internship

As an intern at EHL Consulting, you will gain a working knowledge of fundraising practices, a skill set that is critical to master in today’s economy and competitive philanthropic environment.
You will also develop an enhanced understanding of organizational development by working with several diverse nonprofit institutions being served by EHL Consulting.

We offer flexible hours and a generous stipend, with the possibility of a permanent position in the future.

Expectations

Participants will practice and improve skills in writing, research and managing client relationships.
Interns will work with members of the consulting firm and perform activities to support the firm’s relationships with its clients.

Activities include:

• Research on prospective funders (individuals, foundations, corporations, government entities);
• Writing promotional and related materials for client use;
• Drafting letters, reports and other documents related to client services;
• Learning about and drafting grant proposals.

Prerequisites

An interest in nonprofit organizations and a willingness to learn; an ability to work and think independently; basic computer skills; a friendly demeanor, good telephone manner and strong interpersonal skills.
