Internship
The EHL Consulting Group, Inc. works with mid-range nonprofit organizations in the planning and implementation of fundraising campaigns to secure resources for the organization’s capital and endowment needs. Much of our work is in the Jewish community. We also address organizational issues, strategic planning, business practices, and leadership development.
As an intern at the Willow Grove office of EHL Consulting, you will gain a working knowledge of fundraising practices, a skills set that is critical in today’s economy and competitive philanthropic environment for the growth and well-being of all nonprofit organizations, and become exposed to other aspects of synagogue and communal priorities.
You will also develop an enhanced understanding of organizational development by working with several diverse nonprofit institutions currently being served by EHL Consulting.
We offer flexible hours (15-20/week) and a generous stipend, with the possibility of a permanent position in the future.
Expectations
Participants will practice and improve skills in writing, research and managing client relationships.
Interns will work with members of the consulting firm and perform activities to support the firm’s relationships with its clients. Activities include:
- Research on prospective funders (individuals, foundations, corporations, government entities);
- Writing promotional and related materials for client use;
- Drafting letters, reports and other documents related to client services;
- Learning about and drafting grant proposals.
Prerequisites
An interest in nonprofit organizations and a willingness to learn; an ability to work and think independently; basic computer skills; a friendly demeanor, good telephone manner and strong interpersonal skills.
